Horseback riding with Elisabeth

To celebrate Elisabeths 11th Birthday I took her horse back riding. One of the main reasons we selected Artillery Ridge as our destination for camping was the fact that they had horseback riding.

We really like the Gettysburg area of PA as it is really beautiful. We took a scenic self guided drive tour through the countryside and we just loved it. There are so many apple and peach orchards in the area.

Yesterday we planned on hiking, but for the first time on our trip it rained so hiking was just not going to work for us. We spotted a sign for a winery and decided to check it out. There we were at 10 o'clock in the morning trying different wines. Well, we ended up buying a case of mixed whites and reds. Oh well, isn't that what you are supposed to do?

We drove over to Chris and Cheryl's for the afternoon and a BBQ for dinner. We are going back today to all go into Lancaster area to visit the Amish country. This should be a fun day with the kids.

That is it for now. Happy trails.

Hi, Andrea & Charlie,
We are some of your "followers" ! You must have to get up special at 4am to do your entries! Hope you enjoyed the horseback riding. Good for you for doing it, Roy chooses not to! We still miss you. It has been extremely hot here in Georgia, so we have not been out too much.
Take only healthy risks!
